Room # 6 – Teddy Bear Room

The Teddy Bear Room was the first "themed" room in the Lodge. The room's personality shone through from the moment we bought the Lodge. Juanita instantly knew it needed a fuzzy black bear in the middle of its blue comforter-covered beds (a full and a twin). Even the biggest, toughest guys we know enjoy this room and its adjoining claw-footed bathtub

March 2013: Bill & Juanita, Your lodge is amazing. Its splendor is only outmatched by your kindness & hospitality. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful, We will absolutely love to come & stay with you again. Happy Spring! Beth & Brianna

May 2012: Dear Juanita & Bill, Thank you for the bottom of our hearts for your unequalled hospitality! We felt warmly welcome and felt at home in your beautiful lodge. You are generous in spirit. With gratitude, B. and Louise from the Land Down Under …and, the best Part of all was: YOU SPEAK HORSE!!

February 2012: Where to start,… As our first B&B I think it fair to say that we are now spoiled. The ability to completely decompress from the daily routine of home & work is amazing, within the walls of Bill & Juanita’s (& Sophie’s) home. The surrounding mountains & all simply slow down the w o r l d and invite you to enjoy. This was a rare experience, one that we as a family will soon return to, & again, & again! As much as our first reaction is to tell others about the “APL”… the selfish part says no. Outside of a few close family that we know can appreciate the APL for what it is and the hosts for who they are, we will keep this mountain jewel to ourselves. Tom, Kristi & Tristan, Colorado Springs, Colorado Thank you!

December 2011: My first thought in walking in last night was “Does this place always smell spectacular? We had a wonderful evening chatting with other guests and scratching Sophie’s ears (such a wonderful dog.) After a lovely bubble bath and a comfy bed, we woke up to the smell of French toast and hash browns. YUM! Juanita was kind enough to make me my own toast & eggs for my dairy allergy. I can’t wait to send my parents round here. Thank you for a wonderful stay  Kelly & Eric, Boulder, Colorado

September 2011: It was one of the nicest places which we are visit in U.S. Thank you for everything! Aneta & Alexandr from Prague, Czech Republic

April 2010: Bill, Juanita, & future guests, What a absolute treat, with dark chocolate syrup on top! Beautiful people, surroundings, history, and Sophie! You shared your home and your life with us! Eating together at the table… talking, laughing, and sharing our lives together! I mean c’mon, does this happen anywhere else?! PRICELESS! Thank you for your home-cooked meals, your comfortable home, and for “keepin’ it real!” My heart is filled with joy and this has been a wonderful weekend! I am going to pass this along to my family and try to get our next reunion up here - 2011. I definitely want to bring my husband here and soon! *People like you, decorate our world.  Warmly, Cindy, LaPorte, Colorado

April 2010: To Bill & Juanita, Scrapbooking has gone to another level here at your Lodge! I absolutely enjoyed it and now want to bring my hubby back & tell everyone else. You have the gift of hospitality and mixed with the ambience of this cabin & being so far up and away from it all, it is a home run! God Bless you & your family, Adrienne, Fort Collins, Colorado

August 2009: At the end of a long day fishing in the backcountry, your home was so comforting to walk into. Thank you. Absolutely the best night of sleep in several days of seeing Colorado. Your hospitality was beyond description and I felt as if I were with friends. Thank you. David, Fairhope, Alabama

September 2008: Finished a 5-day inn-to-inn hike on the WTW (Walter Tishma Way) trail. What a wonderful place to stay on our last night. Such a warm and inviting place – not to mention the delicious food! Thank you Bill and Juanita. I’ll be back some day! August 2008: We originally planned to stay two nights and ended up staying for four, but would have liked to stay much longer. The peace of the lodge and the mountains refresh the soul. Thank you so much Bill and Juanita for your warm welcome and advice. We will definitely be back. Au revoir et a’ bienlot, John, Benedicte and Chloe; Pons, France
