We could not have imagined a more perfect vacation. Every day we awoke
to cloudless, warm, sunshine-filled days. And, even thought the Aspens
are past bloom, the scenery here is still breath-taking. When we embarked
on our weeklong vacation, we knew little of Allenspark Lodge nor the solitude
and beauty of its surroundings. What we found was a beautiful cozy lodge
with a welcome home feel. We've stayed at several B&B's , but have
not run into such gracious and caring hosts such as yourselves before.
Your culinary skills are unequalled - if anyone leaves the breakfast table
hungry, they are insane. And we enjoyed how easily you shared your life
and home with use. We felt so welcomed. Being fellow animal lovers, we
were ecstatic and finding the other "owners" of the lodge. First and foremost,
there's Sam who's motto "Sam's my name, food's my game" aptly describes
the urgency involved in the wait for 9:00 dinner. She's a beautifully
well behaved dog who we are going to miss much. Add to this already perfect
lodge, a sassy, sock-sleeping squirrel, some voo-doo, a Foxy lady, and
a Tiger, and you've got a star studded animal troupe that we enjoyed immensely.

We had a great time here. All the special touches i.e. - snacks, games,
movies, this guest book really make you feel at home. This was a great
base for "doing" Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Our hike to Ouzel Falls was
great and just down the road. Thanks for everything! Ashley &
